THE COMPANY
MASTERING PROCESSES AND TECHNOLOGIES

Diadeis specialises in large scale projects that require the processing of large volumes of documents. Our know-how, acquired in all areas of publishing, document processing, and geomatics, represents a unique expertise asset that all Diadeis customers can benefit from.

People and automation, the right balance
The complex production processes implemented at Diadeis rely on a fine breakdown between manual tasks, entrusted to operators, and automated tasks, performed by software and other programmes. Generally speaking, repetitive tasks that are easily modelled are carried out under automatic control whereas tasks that require intelligent judgement and complex decisions remain the domain of the operators.

Scheduling of these manual and automatic tasks is initiated by engineers, checked by technology management, and monitored during the project lifecycle by CAPM (computer assisted production management) tools.

A variety of technologies
These technologies are mostly based on the specialised use of the XML standard and the separation between layout and data. They rely on
•image processing tools: OCR (optical character recognition), automatic geo-referencing, correction and retouching of scanned images, recognition of table structures in forms, automatic structuring of documents
•XML text editors, automatic or interactive page layout software, GIS (geographic information systems), desktop publishing and image processing tools
•search engines and databases for archiving processed documents to enable quick future access
•editorial systems: electronic catalogues, documentation management tools
•internally developed production management tools

Quality at Diadeis
Diadeis obtained ISO 9001* certification in 2005 via Bureau Veritas (BVQI). This certification has been renewed in June, 2006.
Diadeis is driven by an ongoing desire for continuous improvement. From putting a project into operation to delivery of production output, Diadeis is organised in a way that enables its responses to closely match customer requirements while controlling the risks and vagaries of production.

Putting projects into operation soundly
Each project is taken charge of by a project leader or manager, also called a "case engineer", who ensures the project is put into operation and monitored. Every production process is validated upstream by the Technology Manager and tested and approved by means of a pilot production run once in operation.

Closely controlled production
During production, the Project Control function monitors and strives to improve project quality, costs, and lead times. It takes care of any malfunctions in close collaboration with the customer. Besides this, there is an account manager, a member of the general management, who can come in where necessary to assign resources to meet deadlines or improve quality.

Guarantee of a well-run project
The Diadeis organisation, allied to solid business skills, guarantees that our commitments will be faithfully met.
